Here's a look at the on-screen keyboard that comes with Windows 8. Because of its different modes, the Lenovo Yoga 13 gives it a good workout so you can see how the keyboard auto activates (or deactivates) when switching modes and orientations.
I found it to be reliable when switching between modes. Once you think about why it does or does not come up, it makes perfect sense.
